I had a blog once before. Actually it still exists but I haven't updated it since 2009 (doesn't 2009 sound more dramatic than last November?). Okay, so I'm trying again.

There are a couple of reasons I'm starting up again. First of all, for those of you who don't know, in August I'm moving to China for a year to teach English. This is one way to keep all my friends and family back home updated with my life while I'm away. Also, when my year in Asia is up I'll be able to look back at this blog and remember all the freak-outs, questionable foods, sweet friends, and language failures.
